Inspired action is when you do what feels best to you in the moment, as opposed to acting from a sense of obligation or duty. Today, I’m explaining how to take inspired action to manifest your desires with far less struggle.
What Is Inspired Action?
The term ‘inspired action’ goes hand-in-hand with the law of attraction.
When it comes to manifesting your desires, there’s a HUGE difference between taking action for action’s sake, versus being led by your emotional guidance.
When you’re in alignment with your Source and receive an impulse to do something, that’s inspired action.
More on Manifesting with Law of Attraction:
Taking inspired action can range from a seemingly insignificant impulse to a major, life-changing move (usually, it’s the former). So, depending on the situation, taking inspired action feels like:
- The next logical step
- Being on the right path
This is very different from forcing yourself to do something because you believe you’re supposed to. That feels more like:
- Energetic drain
These two sets of feelings are at opposite ends of the emotional guidance scale.
This is significant because the higher up on the emotional guidance scale you are, the easier it is to take inspired action and attract your desires.
Here’s what Abraham Hicks has to say about inspired action:
Law of Inspired Action
There are 12 laws of the universe. Usually, you’ll find me talking about the law of attraction (that’s the most important one as far as manifesting goes), but it’s very closely tied to the law of inspired action.
Law of inspired action tells us that when you are in alignment with your Source and allow yourself to act based on your emotional guidance, you will be led down the best path to help you to manifest your desires.
Hard Work Versus Inspired Action
In order to manifest something, action is required on your part, of course. Your desires aren’t just going to magically drop into your lap during meditation!
But, when you’re aligned with your Source and take inspired action, the hard work feels interesting, important, and fulfilling.
Society teaches us that we need to hustle, struggle, and run ourselves into the ground in order to earn upgrades.
Law of inspired action tells us something very different: when you’re feeling inspired and then take action, you will be led down your smoothest and happiest path to success.
How Taking Inspired Action Can Help You Manifest
Inspired action is the backbone for manifesting anything.
No matter what it is that you want: abundance, success, romance, wellness, the first thing you need to do is get into alignment with your Source.

But what I love about inspired action is that you don’t have to be in a perfect mood in order to receive your guidance.
In fact, inspired action can sometimes come in the form of procrastination.
Can you think of an example in your life when you’ve been working on something you needed to get done but really didn’t feel like doing it at that moment?
Chances are, when you force yourself to power through, you don’t end up with the best results.
Instead, if you follow your guidance to get a cup of coffee or take a walk, you’ll have a chance to clear your mind which may be just what you need to allow a new idea or solution to flow to you.
In general, here are some tips for getting into alignment so you can take inspired action.
Honor your emotions.
Give yourself permission as much as you can to follow your impulses toward fun, ease, and curiosity. Sometimes an idea that seems totally unrelated to manifesting your desires, is The Universe’s way of getting you into the right place at the right time.
Set healthy boundaries.
You’re allowed to say ‘no’. When you constantly override your own preferences for the sake of others, you lose touch with your divine guidance. Setting healthy boundaries is an act of personal power that will help you manifest.

Evaluate your daily routine.
Take an objective look at everything you’re doing throughout the day. Are you doing things that don’t serve you, just out of habit? If so, make changes as you see fit.
Celebrate your successes.
Gratitude and appreciation are magnets for manifesting!
The more control you have over your mind, the better positioned you’ll be in to receive your intuitive guidance, so you can take inspired action so and manifest your goals.
Choose your thoughts with intention.
You are manifesting your future with your beliefs, words, thoughts and feelings. So, if you catch yourself complaining or engaging in negative self-talk, this is a beautiful opportunity to upgrade those habits.
Positive affirmations can help with this! Here are some of my favorites:
