How To Use Abraham Hicks Emotional Guidance Scale

Today we’re talking about the Abraham Hicks emotional guidance scale. If you’re an Abraham fan, you already know that your dominant emotions determine what you’re attracting into your life. The higher you are on this emotional scale, the stronger your manifesting power.

The scale below rates emotions from highest to lowest vibration, so you can see exactly how well you’re doing!

What Is Emotional Guidance?

Abraham Hicks teachings say your emotions are indicators to let you know how closely your views on a subject match your Inner Being’s.

So when you’re feeling great, you’re in perfect resonance with how your Inner Being feels about you and everything going on around you. But when you’re feeling sadness, grief, fear, or any other negative emotion, that’s your signal that your feeling differently than your Inner Being feels about that topic.

In other words, negative feelings represent emotional discord between you and your soul.

Your emotions are your way to tell whether you’re vibing high or not.

What Is The Emotional Guidance Scale?

The emotional guidance scale lists the emotions in order, from highest to lowest, in terms of vibration.

The lowest emotion on this vibrational scale is when you’re furthest away from where your Higher Being is, on any given subject. The highest emotions on the scale, like love and joy, are what you experience when you’re in perfect sync with your soul.

Your Inner Being is always up at #1 on the emotional scale. So the further away you get from the top of the scale, the worse you feel.

What Is the Purpose of the Emotional Guidance Scale?

The purpose of the emotional guidance scale is to help you understand and manage your emotions. You can use it to identify where you are on the scale, and what steps you can take to move towards more positive emotions.

The scale ranges from the lowest emotions such as fear and despair, to the highest emotions such as joy and love. By using the emotional guidance scale, you can become more aware of their emotions and work towards achieving a more positive and fulfilling life.

The emotional guidance is so valuable, because it allows you to pinpoint what your point of attraction is. Remember, law of attraction is going to bring you experiences to match your dominant feelings!

So this scale can help you identify exactly how close you are to manifesting your desires. You should use this scale in combination with Abraham Hicks processes to climb the scale like a ladder, so you can attract better experiences for yourself.

How Do I Control My Emotions?

It takes practice, but you can always regain control over how you’re feeling. The fact that you’re even asking that question means you have emotional awareness, which puts you at the head of the pack!

In the book Ask And It Is Given, Abraham Hicks offers 22 different processes to help you move up the emotional guidance scale, based on your emotional set point in any given moment.

But if you don’t have the book, don’t worry. I’ve summarized all 22 Abraham Hicks processes right here for you: Complete List of 22 Abraham Hicks Processes + How To Use Them

Here are the emotions on Abraham’s emotional scale, starting with the highest, and moving down to the lowest. The higher you are on the emotional scale, the better experiences law of attraction will deliver you.

This isn’t a punishment/reward system, dear friend! It’s simply a universal law: like attracts like.

I also want to add here that there’s nothing wrong with experiencing negative emotion. It’s normal, necessary and sacred.

Negative emotion shines a light on what’s important to us, where we need healing, and what we want to create for ourselves in the future. But you don’t want to dwell there permanently, because you came into this life to have a joyful existence.

What Is The Highest Emotional Vibration?

The highest emotional vibrations are those of love, joy, and appreciation. So when you’re in the mode where’ you’re seeing the best in everyone around you, and loving life, you’re as high as you can go on the emotional scale.

It’s important to know that you’re not meant to stay at the tippy top of the emotional scale 100% of the time. That would defeat the purpose of human life! You’re here to have a wide variety of experiences, so you can get clear on what you prefer, and create more of that.

So be easy on yourself as you work toward moving up the emotional guidance scale. It really all boils down to being aware of how you feel, and choosing the best thoughts available to you in any given moment. The more you practice this, the more often you’ll find yourself toward the top of the scale.

How To Use The Emotional Scale To Raise Your Vibe

First, find your current emotional set point on the emotional guidance scale.

I’m going to start at the very bottom and provide examples of things to say to work your way up to the top. But you should also check out the Abraham Hicks processes intended for use at your specific emotional set-point.

Example of How To Use The Emotional Scale

To understand how to use the emotional scale to raise your vibration, it’s easiest to look at an example.

The idea is to find words, thoughts, and feelings that bring you relief from however you’re feeling. So in some cases, like in the case of grief or depression, anger is going to like a big improvement. That’s because there’s more freedom and power in anger than there is in despair.

So the goal is to soothe your way up the scale, step by step. Let’s say you’re working through grief, at the very bottom of the emotional scale. You can say something like this:

I feel completely lost without my loved one and don’t know if I can go on without them (Despair).

I wish I had done more for them while they were alive (Guilt brings relief from despair).

People who haven’t had this experience don’t know what I’m going through. (Jealousy brings relief from guilt).

I hate that I have to go on without them. In fact, it makes me absolutely furious. (Rage brings relief from jealousy).

Someone needs to pay for this. I could strangle that medical staff for not trying harder. (Revenge brings relief from rage).

I’m just so angry they’re gone. It isn’t fair. (Anger brings relief from revenge).

We are all feeling this massive sense of loss and I wish there was something I could do (Discouragement brings relief from anger).

The people handling the arrangements are screw things up left and right. (Blame brings relief from discouragement).

I hope the funeral goes smoothly. (Worry brings relief from blame).

I can’t imagine my world without them. (Doubt brings relief from worry).

I’m so disappointed they won’t be here to enjoy the holidays with me. (Disappointment brings relief from doubt).

Halfway Point on the Emotional Scale

At this point, it’s worth taking a step back to see how far you’ve come in soothing yourself up the emotional scale from absolute despair, to a place where we’ve activated the vibration of disappointment.

Even though we’re still not in a good feeling place, this is a huge improvement which gives you a much greater sense of power, control, and relief. You can stay on each step for as long as you need to. But as you can see, this is a fairly gradual process. It’s literally impossible to jump from depression to joy, so do be gentle with yourself.

In other words, feeling better is all relative. Let’s continue up the vibrational scale of emotion.

All of the fallout from this needs to be dealt with, and it’s just too much. (Overwhelm brings relief from disappointment).

Other people are just going to have to step up and help me – I can only do so much. (Frustration brings relief from overwhelm).

I’m not completely sure I’ll be able to manage all of this change. (Pessimism brings relief from frustration).

I’m actually worn out from thinking about all of this. I need a nap. (Boredom brings relief from pessimism).

You’re About To Reach Positive Emotions

If you really can distract yourself, preferably with a nap, at the point of boredom, you’re going to wake up with a perfect opportunity to nudge yourself into good feeling emotions. Let’s continue.

I’m feeling a bit more rested now. I know every soul makes its exit in perfect timing. (Contentment brings relief from boredom).

I hope they’re re enjoying a wonderful reunion with all of our passed family and friends. (Hope brings relief from contentment).

A great idea just struck me about how to honor their memory. Let’s work on it. (Optimism brings relief from hope).

I know for sure they’re watching over us right now, guiding our actions (Belief brings relief from optimism).

Look at that gorgeous rainbow! That’s definitely a sign that they made it! (Happiness brings relief from belief).

I’m positive that was a sign! I can’t wait to tell others what I experienced – I can feel them with me right now, in energetic form. (Passion brings relief from happiness).

I really do feel their presence and I love knowing they’re always just a thought away. I’m so grateful to have them looking out for me from their new, expanded vantage point. I can’t wait to explore this next phase of our relationship. (Love and appreciation – you made it to the top!)

Conclusion

Keep in mind, you might not stay at the top of the scale forevermore – this is a process you should come back to whenever you feel your emotions slip downward.
