57 New Year Reflection Questions For The Best Year Yet

Another year is in the books and it’s time to reflect on how far you’ve come, and what you’d like to create in the future. The new year is the perfect time to set intentions for growth, expansion, and renewal. Today I’m sharing my favorite new year reflection questions and prompts to shine a light on areas of your life that matter most.

Typical New Year’s resolutions can be motivational at first, but sometimes they put too much pressure on you to perform. Anything that leads to guilt or shame isn’t healthy for you, my friend!

So this year, I invite you to take a fresh approach by setting intentions for upgrades in a different way. Instead of actionable targets, shift your focus toward how you want to feel in the new year.

This is a much more powerful approach to new year reflection, because it leaves the door wide open for The Universe to swoop in and deliver upgrades you never saw coming!

A brand new cycle of your life is about to begin, and this reflection time will get you in touch with what matters to you most. I hope the new year reflection questions below help to guide you through this very sacred self-care ritual.

Why Reflect on the New Year?

There is great value in taking time to reflect as you enter the new year, for a couple of reasons:

New year reflection highlights your accomplishments. When you’re in the daily grind, it’s all too easy to lose sight of how far you’ve come. I bet a lot of things have gone right for you that have been totally overshadowed by the disappointments! This is human nature, which is why it’s important to document your wins.

Reflection helps you reprioritize. Competing priorities can interfere with the goals you set for yourself. New year reflection helps you recognize where you’ve gone off track.

New year’s reflection is a time to come back to YOU, to contemplate your vision for the future and how to bring it to life. After all, it’s really hard to measure your success if you don’t have a plan!
