There are lots of options for your journal entries, and I’ll cover them below. You will most likely end up with a healthy mix, based on how you’re feeling in the moment. But in general, you want to write about:

How To Write A Manifestation Journal
For starters, you need to decide if you’re going to use a blank notebook or buy one that includes prompts. I’ll cover the best guided manifestation journals, further down. But let’s assume for now that you’re starting from scratch, with an empty notebook.
Be sure that your notebook is dedicated to your manifestations. This is a sacred keeper of your wishes! So don’t use it for anything else.
Here are 5 different exercises you can use to start your manifestation journal.
Scripting Your Future
This is a process of writing a journal entry as if you’ve already successfully manifested whatever it is that you want.
So you can write about the details around how your wish came true, what life is like now, and how you feel about it. Scripting is a creative writing technique where you can really use your imagination to create any outcome you want!
This is such a powerful manifestation tool because it helps you tap into all the positive emotions associated to manifesting your desire. When you do this, you become a perfect vibrational match to what you want. And when this happens, you become a magnet for attracting that happy outcome.
This is one of Abraham Hicks 22 processes from the book Ask And It Is Given. Just about all of them are appropriate for your manifestation journal. I explain each one, with examples here: Complete List of 22 Abraham Hicks Processes + How To Use Them
Manifestation Journal Scripting Sample:
Let’s say you’re focused on manifesting financial abundance so you can get out of debt and buy a new home. In your manifestation journal, you’ll write a story from the point of view of your future-self:
“I am so proud of myself for the abundance I’ve attracted into my life. Looking back, I think what made all the difference is my new sense of worthiness. I had a lot of limiting beliefs about what was possible for me. But I’m so grateful I allowed myself to expand and embrace the abundance that I deserve!
Making a game out of paying down my debt was one of the best things I’ve ever done. It was really satisfying and even fun to watch my bills shrink. And I even got a few unexpected windfalls of abundance, which I know were a result of my gratitude practice. That money seemed to come out of nowhere at just the right time. I love when that happens!
Now that I’m debt free, I’m having the time of my life looking for the perfect new home. I’ve already begun donating items I no longer need, so packing will be easier. My savings account is growing daily and I’m absolutely pumped for my next chapter!“
You should allow yourself to feel uplifted and swept away by the positive emotions you conjure when writing your script. Think BIG – your manifestation journal is no place to hold yourself back!

Affirmations are positive statements about yourself that you want to become true.
They help you to manifest by training your brain to carve out healthy pathways of thought about your manifestation.
Remember, law of attraction is going to bring you experiences that match your dominant feelings, thoughts, and beliefs. So it’s important you get into the habit of thinking positively about your desires. Affirmations can help you do this.

You can write an affirmation once and reflect on what it means to you, or you can use it with the 369 method.
Journaling With The 369 Manifestation Method
The 369 manifestation method involves writing down your positive affirmation 3 times in a row in the morning, 6 times in the middle of your day, and then 9 more times just before bed.
So for example, you may write “I will get a raise at work”.
Write this statement in your manifestation journal
- 3 times as soon as you open your eyes
- 6 more times when you get home from work
- 9 more times just before sleep
This manifesting technique helps you to normalize ideas that seem far fetched to you, which is a hugely important part of manifesting anything. As your mind gets comfortable with new possibilities, you’ll start receiving impulses, ideas, and guidance that will lead you toward your manifestation.
The 369 method gives you a proactive way to set intentions and focus your energy on what you want, in stead of complaining about what you don’t have. Let yourself get excited as you go through this process – that’s where all the magic happens!
How Long Does It Take The 369 Method To Work?
That depends on how close a match you are to your desire. Your emotions will let you know! How do you feel when you think about what you want? Hopeful, excited, and eager? If so, that’s a clear sign you have a strong belief that your desire will manifest. So, it’s going to show up in your life fairly quickly.
On the other hand, if you’re working through feelings of doubt, unworthiness, or fear, you’ll need to give yourself a little extra time to raise your vibration.
I recommend the focus wheel exercise whenever you’re not feeling excited and optimistic about manifesting your desires. You can do this right in your manifestation journal: How To Make A Focus Wheel For Manifesting
Bottom line, repeat the 369 process in your manifestation journal for as many days as you feel is right for you; you may just want to do it for one day and then release it to the universe. Or, if you enjoy the process, keep it up for a week or so.
Then, let it go and allow the universe to go to work for you. Over the next month or so, journal about any signs that your manifestation is on its way.

The feeling of appreciation is one of the highest vibrating emotions on the Emotional Guidance Scale. Which means, you want to be in a state of gratitude as much as possible as you move through your day.
So in your manifestation journal, write down a list of things you appreciate. This doesn’t have to be in regard to what you’re trying to manifest. Instead, scan your entire day from the moment you woke up to the time you hopped into bed, identifying what you were grateful for.
For example, you might write down things like:
Today I was grateful for:
- Waking up feeling well rested
- The delicious coffee my partner made for me
- My ability to get out of bed and move my body
- The peaceful drive to the work
- The kind soul who let me merge into traffic
- The progress I made at work today
- My conversation with my mother
- A beautiful dinner
- The cozy sweater that kept me warm today
- Yoga class
- This cozy bed I’m enjoying
- The money in my wallet
- The opportunity to help that stranger at the store
- My new book that I’m enjoying
- Blooming flowers in my garden
If you keep at this for just 17 seconds, you’ve reached a magical turning point. Law of attraction will then start bringing you more and more ideas about what to appreciate. You’ll be shocked by the length of your list!
This is the most powerful manifestation technique there is because it quickly brings you into alignment with your higher self. When you’re in this state, there is nothing you can’t create for yourself!
Prompts For Personal Growth
Do you have a self reflection practice? When you want to manifest upgrades in your life, it can be super helpful to prompt yourself daily with questions designed to keep you on track.
Asking yourself the right questions will help you to focus on what’s most important to you. Plus, it will help you stay in that high vibing space of appreciation and gratitude.
You’d be surprised how much these journal prompts will help you to manifest the best possible version of your day. Over the long run, one good day after another adds up to a beautiful, magical life!
I suggest you write your questions down on the first page of your manifestation journal, so you can refer to them easily. Then write down your answers each day.
Here are the 7 Questions To Ask Yourself Everyday for Self Growth. Your manifestation journal is the perfect place to do this.
How Often Should I Journal?
Every day, for at least a month (or until your desires come to life!). If you’re pressed for time, at least write down a few things you were grateful for. Gratitude is the ultimate abundance magnet.
